7 miles outside.  I made McKenna go with me on her bike just in case I couldn't make it back.  I figured she could run while I rode the bike.  The first 3 miles I ran without stopping.  Then I just had to take the next 4 miles 1 mile at a time.  After each mile I would stop, take a drink and then start back up.  My average pace for the run was a 9:30 (I stopped my watch during water breaks).  It's hard for me when I see that time because I had worked so hard to get my training times down around 8:50 to 9:00 minute miles.  Oh well, it was better than my 11:58 on Saturday.

SO HAPPY to hear your breathing/ribs getting better. I know it was discouraging to see the time. I am certain you will be back to your speedy self in no time. Keep up the good work. We need to get together for a group run!

I am so glad to see that you are able to get out again! It sounds like you are doing very well after such a traumatic downfall! Don't be too hard on yourself....sounds like a great pace! Hopefully things continue to go well from here! Yeah to you and to McKenna for the support!

Speed will come...remember your goal is to finish healthy...once you get the healthy part down you can work on the speed part. Going too fast will only set you back.

Glad to see you finished you 7 without too much trouble. Good idea to bring your daughter along. What are the temperatures in your neck of the woods? (could higher temps than you're used to account for some of the speed loss..it definitely takes a toll on me)

Marc..I would like to blame it on the heat, but I was running pretty late in the evening and we had just had a small rain shower. It was warm...but not that warm. I think I am just out of shape. It will come back...I just hope soon!
